This workshop will cover the optical microscopy techniques and expertise available across COLife and FCUL. At the “COLife & friends” imaging facilities, researchers can find state-of-the art microscopy equipment, and the conditions to do experiments across all scales from nano to mesoscopy.
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of optical microscopy and fluorescence and the concepts behind image quality and resolution.
You will learn different technologies that allow characterization of cells and tissues in 3D, of dynamic processes and of sub-cellular details. We will also present high-throughput microscopy techniques and large-scale imaging in the mm-cm range.
This workshop is highly recommended for both beginners and experts and aims to give you a flavour of the different optical microscopy technologies you can find at COLife institutes and at FCUL.
