The Champalimaud Foundation is a cutting-edge research institution dedicated to innovating in biomedical science. The Warehouse and its Digital Therapeutics (DTx) Programme has the mission to transform healthcare through innovative technologies and evidence-based research & development. To support our mission, we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join us as a Communication and Events Officer. If you are passionate about leveraging communication strategies and organising impactful events to advance digital therapeutics, we want to hear from you.
As a Communication and Events Officer, you will be integrated in the Communications, Events & Outreach (CEO) team that works with the wider Champalimaud Foundation community, playing a crucial role in amplifying our research and development initiatives, disseminating groundbreaking findings and fostering collaboration within the digital therapeutics community.
- Conceptualise, plan, and execute events (from public exhibits to conferences, webinars and workshops) to showcase our research and foster collaboration in the digital therapeutics field;
- Be responsible for logistics, managing invitations and ensuring a seamless experience for both virtual and in-person events.
- Create, manage and update a website bringing an imaginative and strategic vision to maximise our impact;
- Craft engaging content, including press releases, about scientific publications and other achievements, as well as generate high-quality written and visual content that communicates complex research concepts in a clear and compelling manner for diverse audiences;
- Create and curate dedicated mailing lists, newsletters and social media profiles which will allow the development and implementation of strategic digital campaigns for the dissemination of events, initiatives, institutional updates and job offers.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, industry partners, and healthcare professionals;
- Engage with science and health communication officers/teams from partner institutions to amplify and coordinate media and dissemination efforts.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Communication, Public Relations, Science Communication, or a related field;
- Proven experience in event management, preferably in the healthcare or research sector;
- Interest in science and health related topics, preferably with a solid scientific and health literacy;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in Portuguese and English;
- Experience with digital marketing tools (websites, newsletters, mailing lists, social media platforms, paid ads and campaigns);
- Team player and good organisational skills.

Candidates will be screened to determine eligibility based on the qualifications listed.
Candidates meeting minimum requirements will be scored according to the required application materials: CV 60% weighting, motivation letter 25%, interview 15%.
