A first look at what it is to be a scientist

A first look at what it is to be a scientist

Whenever possible, the Champalimaud Foundation opens its doors to welcome high-schoolers for a visit and to introduce them to the different areas of our work. This is particularly evident in the area of scientific research, and we foster open discussions between students/teachers and members of Champalimaud Research. During the visit, students also have the opportunity to see some of the scientists’ workspaces and to observe, for a few hours, the atmosphere of a research centre.

About the visits to the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown

- They happen almost every month during the school year;
- The day of the visit is pre-defined by the organising team (always on Tuesday mornings);
- They start at 10 am and end at around 2:30 pm.

For 2020, the schools that will visit the Champalimaud Foundation have already been selected (see the list below), therefore, it will not be possible to accommodate more visits requests for 2020.
