4th Edition Hands-on Molecular Tools Workshop

The Hands-on Molecular Tools workshop aims to cover the fundamental principles and standard techniques used in Molecular Biology and will be taught by experts from CF, FCT-UNL and FCUL/cE3c.

This course will incorporate theoretical and practical classes, where the participants will acquire experience on RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, electrophoresis, plasmid DNA isolation, as well as, bioinformatics analysis and experimental design of a cloning project. 

This hands-on course organised by the Champalimaud Foundation is limited to 16 participants and is intended for researchers who are looking for basic molecular biology training. 

Experience in molecular biology is not required. 

We are waiting for you in Lisbon, Portugal, from 4-8 September 2025, at Champalimaud Foundation.

Application process

Registrations will be open until June 27th and all applicants will be contacted with results by July 8th 2025. 

Applicants will be selected according to their CV and motivation letter.

Registration fee

400€, VAT included (includes course materials, lunches, coffee-breaks and a welcome dinner).
