Artificial Intelligence: Paradigm Shift for Breast Cancer Patients

The Breast Unit of the Champalimaud Clinical Center organizes, for the 5th year, the Breast Unit Open Day, this year dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and its transformative impact on breast cancer patients.

Artificial intelligence is already an integral part of breast cancer research and treatment and a paradigm-shifting vector for patients with this disease, an example of which is the work developed by the Breast Unit in a collaborative effort with research and clinical groups, not just from the Champalimaud Foundation, but also from national and international institutes and companies.

With a diverse program, this Open Day proposes enlightening sessions on cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence in healthcare, the presentation of the Cinderella Project and the Champalimaud Foundation Digital Surgery Laboratory, and the discussion on the innovative use of AI to improve communication between the patient and the healthcare professional.
