Our Centre combines diverse sets of technical skills and scientific expertise related to the development of the nervous system, encompassing patterning and fate specification, neurite outgrowth and guidance, synapse formation and function, and neuroplasticity. We study 6 different model organisms: from the simple nematode to complex mammals, exploiting the unique advantages of each model organism with specialized techniques to answer the key questions in modern developmental neurobiology. close
- Learn the state of the art techniques used in modern developmental neuroscience
- Acquire a knowledge of brain development in 6 different species (C. elegans, Drosophila, zebrafish, Xenopus, chick and mouse)
- Interact with international leading neuroscientists
At the end of the course, our aim is to have informed young scientists in the broadest set of techniques and model organisms, giving them the intellectual and technical tools to explore most efficiently any hot issue in neurobiology.
