The regatta coincided with Portugal's Implantação da República holiday and the 14th anniversary of the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown. Boats set sail at 11:00 am, with participants and spectators gathering at the Champalimaud Foundation’s waterfront amphitheatre.
Although the weather was less than ideal, the sailors performed with skill and enthusiasm, racing through the heart of the Tejo River. This year, 15 Champalimaud Foundation staff members had the chance to sail alongside experienced sailors from Lisbon's Naval Association (ANL), who once again partnered with the Foundation to organise the event.
The competition concluded in the early afternoon, followed by the prize-giving ceremony. This marked another successful edition of the regatta, continuing the tradition of bringing together the sailing community and the Champalimaud Foundation, for this celebratory date.
