The Simoldes Group has donated 1.6 million euros to the Champalimaud Foundation to support the development of a breast cancer research programme. This donation will be crucial in driving significant advances in this field.
The Champalimaud Foundation's Breast Cancer Research Programme is made up of groups dedicated to all aspects related to the disease, from diagnosis to treatment. The goal is to improve the quality of life and survival of patients by utilising cutting-edge technologies that combine new techniques and methods with clinical practice to better serve patients.
The Simoldes Group's donation supports various innovative research projects organised into five main groups: quality of life and physical exercise; digital surgery; artificial intelligence applied to breast cancer surgery; and the registry and development of partnerships with other entities.
This donation will enable the Champalimaud Foundation to continue its mission of promoting excellence in research and innovation in breast cancer treatment. The integration of new technologies with clinical practice is essential for developing more effective and personalised treatments, directly benefiting patients.
