Indoor Tropical Garden

The indoor garden of the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown is the most remarkable area of the main building. Covered by a pergola and enveloped by a glass facade, it creates an ideal microclimate for the development of plant species from Brazil, Africa, India, Timor and the Far-East.

A path guides the way through this tropical and exotic environment, punctuated by rest areas that invite the visitor to pause.

This garden is a space of restricted public access, making it possible, given the right conditions, for anyone to enjoy the exuberant vegetation and the peacefulness of a space designed for all.
