The CCU on the Cover of EMBO encounters

The Champalimaud Foundation is one of the highlights of the summer issue of EMBO encounters, a magazine from the European Molecular Biology Laboratory.

“Life sciences in Portugal: progress despite recession” is the title of a text, published in issue 24 of EMBO encounter, dedicated to the Portuguese research private sector, where it is recognized “the potential (of the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown) to become a world-class research institute”.

CNP @ Noite do Professor 2013

As hundreds of teachers streamed into Pavilhão do Conhecimento last Friday night (October 18th) for Teacher’s Night, a group of volunteers from the CNP stood prepared. Armed with four cockroach legs, a spike box, auditory and optical illusions, an electromyogram (EMG), 8 pairs of toothpicks and one enormous play-dough neuron.
