Com apenas 40 anos, Rui Costa, investigador principal no Programa de Neurociências do Centro de Investigação da Fundação Champalimaud, conta já com uma vasta experiência académica e uma extensa lista de prémios internacionais, com destaque para uma bolsa do European Research Council ou o Prémio Jovem Investigador da Sociedade Americana de Neurociências, pelo trabalho desenvolvido no estudo das diferenças nos processos cerebrais que estão na base dos hábitos adquiridos ou das ações intencionais.

This street is home to many Lisbon inhabitants but it is also the name of scientist and theologian Portuguese-Goan, José Custodio Faria, who in addition to who in addition to its’ training in Theology was one of the first in the scientific study of hypnotism. He was also an inspiration to Alexandre Dumas famous romance “The Count of Monte Cristo”.
